If you are reading this column, then let me introduce myself: You can call me “ditched at the altar”. Yes I had four broken engagements that left me feeling as though I was left at the altar each time just before the “I do” vows.
Getting things right in one’s love life can be difficult at times, that’s why I’m doing this column to share my journey from failure to success. From four times almost “got it in the bag” to a great and exciting marriage. I’m not a love guru but perhaps my experience can help you if you’re looking for pointers in Love life.
I will keep this column layout as follows:
Over the next 4 weeks I will tell you about each time I was dumped virtually at the altar. Trust me, if there was hope for me, then there is for you also. The idea will not be for you to feel sorry for me, actually, I don’t feel sorry for myself either. I am too busy enjoying the happiness that I have always wanted. By the way, feel free to laugh at some of the things I went through. Looking back today, I often find myself doing the same.
Anyway, they say that an intelligent person is the one who can learn from other people’s mistakes without having to go through them themselves. That’s what I would like my story to help you with.
I hope you are as looking forward to the first part of my story as I am.
See you next time.
With love: Ditched at the Altar
