The wrong type of relationship, or the lack of one, can be the cause of depression for many people. We either find ourselves in bad relationships or are left broken-hearted. Whether it’s a bad experience or the absence of a loving relationship, these matters can lead to difficult times.
We get wound up in the pursuit of finding and keeping a relationship that we completely forget to look after our mental well-being and stability. To be ready for a relationship, we need to allow ourselves to grow, and we need to be in a place where our minds are content with our independence.
So, before we welcome another person into our lives, we must be happy within ourselves first; otherwise, we will end up in the same situation over and over again. Whether you keep ending up with the same type of partner, or your relationships keep ending in the same way, if you work on yourself first, there is a chance that you can learn from these experiences and not make the same mistakes again.
